Abbreviation Key:
BIP - Bacnet/IP
BNS - BACnet MS/TP (BAcnet Serial)
EIP - EtherNet/IP

A lower case c after an abbreviation indicates that the protocol has been set up so our gateway is a client, a lower case s means server (or slave depending on the context), and a m means master. Some versions have been designed with specific PLCs in mind, if so, the PLC they have been optomized for is included after the abbreviation in parentheses (). The 2 in the middle is just a seperator, communication can go in either direction, not just from the first protocol to the second.

So for example, BIPc_2_EIPc(SLC) is a BACnet/IP and EtherNet/IP configuration example, with the BACnet/IP side setting us up as a Client (the one iniating communication to other BACnet/IP Server devices or PLCs) and the EtherNet/IP side also set up as a Client, specifically a client to an EtherNet/IP enabled SLC500 PLC (such as a SLC5/05) or a server device which communicates in the same style of as a SLC500.
